How Do Bed Bugs Spread?

Bed bugs are nocturnal bloodsucking wingless insects which bite you in the nights giving a restless sleep. These insects hide in the dark and undisturbed places of the room. Bed bug's flat body allows them to hide under the carpet, wallpapers, photo frames etc.

Once your flat or house is infested with bed bugs, these biting insects are difficult to be removed. Here are some of the ways  bedbugs spread:

• Hitchhike on your belongings (suitcase, shoes or laptop bags) from the infected place
• Moving infected furniture from one place to the other.  They can live for longtime without  host
• The absence of host in the room, makes these biting insects migrate to another
• Use of rented vacuum cleaners and laundry machines
• Lack of good hideouts may force them to migrate to another room
• Incorrect pesticide application
• Second-hand furniture if infested with bed bugs, eggs, or pregnant females, they quickly harbor in the new place

Myths about the spread of bed bugs:

• These biting insects actually do not hide on your body, they get transported along with your belongings.
• There is nothing to do with your neatness for the transportation of bed bugs. If you have been to a place manifestated with bed bugs, they can cling to your belongings and get transported.
• These animals do not cause any disease, but these biting insect reactions may vary from one individual to other from none to red allergic itchy skin.
